There is a huge range of resources available to you, as a pilot, to help you fly in UK airspace. This page acts as a one-stop shop for getting the charts and flight planning tools you need for successfully carrying out a flight in the UK.
UK charts are provided by the NATS Aeronautical Information Service. Please click on the following links to be taken to their website. No registration is required.
VATSIM-UK also hosts its own database of information about specific airfields with frequencies, resources and standard procedures. Please visit our Airfield Info pages to be taken to this database.
International charts can be found by visiting the VATSIM Chart Center.
There are a number of great tools which can be used to plan domestic and international flights to and from the UK. For more detailed information on your destination and arrival airports, see the Charts section above.
The Real World Flight Plan Database - a free online database of over 88,000 accurate real world flight plans. A must-have tool for regular pilots. Registration takes less than two minutes.
The UK Standard Route Document - a comprehensive document which lists the standard routes for domestic flights within the UK & Ireland, as well as standard routes to every boundary exit point in UK airspace.
Across the VATSIM network you can choose to either file your flight plan before you load up or you can load up then file whilst at the gate.
